Are Drugs Being Used at Nithyananda temples and Bidadi Dhyanapeetam?

This is a very interesting question raised by NoahElijah on reddit. After my experiences at the ashram and those of others, it is certainly a possibility.

According to 2012 news reports a police case was opened up regarding Nithyananda mixing drugs in holy water he was serving to his devotees. Is this part of the reason why his devotees report having 'magical', 'spiritual', 'dreamy' experiences? Is this why they worship & crave Nithyananda because he's in essence their crack dealer?

In the Welcome Magazine for the Sadomadoshivoham program it talks about Aushadha (sacred energized herbs) being used in the food & drink at the Adheenam. What exactly are these sacred energized herbs being used? Could some of them have hallucinogenic properties? Are low doses of hallucinogenic herbs being consumed without the knowledge or consent of the participants? Have any of the devotees or participants had a drug test done after going to the Dhyanapeetam or one of the temples to make sure they weren't being drugged?

In the comment here by a woman who attended Inner Awakening in 2016 she talks about people being in altered states (as if under the influence of drugs) at the Dhyanapeetam and how she learned that Jimsonweed & Scopolamine are used in Ayurvedic cooking which are both hallucinogenic and known to be used for brainwashing purposes! Scopolamine in particular is very potent and all it takes is for it to get on your skin in order for it's effects to take place.

Are drugs being used by Nithyananda to keep his devotees in compliance as in the case with many other cults? What do you think?
